Eric is from Holland and moved to Bornholm in April 2022, his wife and children are still in Holland – but are joining him this summer. Eric and his family decided to move to Bornholm because: “ We love the island. We have been here for holidays 2 times and talked about the possibility of getting a “better life” with more time for the children and to focus on our private life more than job and career. I sold my business in Holland and bought a house on Bornholm. I’m learning Danish, getting friends and enjoying life.”

The little children's Bornholm and the first 1000 days

The Municipality of Bornholm is engaged in a large-scale project with focus on children’s welfare and development. The project is called The small children’s Bornholm.

With The small children's Bornholm it is our goal to support children's life with special focus on the first 1000 days of children's lives, as we know that this is the most crucial period for children's further opportunities to thrive, learn and develop.
